Who We Are

IronStride Solutions is a Colorado-based engineering firm specializing in traffic operations and the implementation of technology in transportation projects.

Our key staff have served in lead roles on many of the major transportation projects in Colorado for traffic engineering, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) technology, and construction management. IronStride provides critical insight into the planning process and design considerations for technology-based transportation applications based on our extensive experience with the systems engineering process, interagency agreements, operations, and maintenance of these unique project elements.
Featured Projects

Traffic Signal Improvements
Loveland, Colorado, City of Loveland
The IronStride team led a multidisciplinary team to evaluate and upgrade 30+ traffic signals in the City of Loveland with flashing yellow arrows and prepare for adaptive signal control.
Central 70
Denver, Colorado, CDOT
The segment of I-70 between I-25 and Chambers Road, known as Central 70, is one of Colorado’s most critical corridors. I-70 Floyd Hill
Evergreen-Idaho Springs, CDOT
The IronStride team is currently serving as the ITS design and systems engineering analysis (SEA) lead for the Floyd Hill project.
On-Call Traffic Engineering Services
Centennial, Colorado, City of Centennial
Our key staff designed plans to upgrade communications for the City of Centennial, including complex network and splicing plans that leveraged a combination of the existing Traffic Engineering Services fiber and the new “FiberWorks” backbone.
Fiber Phase 3
Greeley, Colorado, City of Greeley
IronStride led this fiber design and construction project to fill in missing fiber backbone links in the City of Greeley’s fiber network and to provide redundancy for existing portions of the network.
Snowmass Fiber Design (Phase 2)
Snowmass, Colorado, Town of Snowmass Village
This project builds on the previous Phase 1 municipal fiber project in order to provide last-mile fiber optic connections for Town infrastructure.
West I-70 ITS Improvements
Grand Junction-Glenwood Springs, Colorado, CDOT
IronStride led the design, systems engineering analysis (SEA), and construction inspection for improving communication reliability and roadway surveillance along I-70 between Grand Junction and Glenwood Springs.
Powers Blvd & Airport Rd Interchange
Colorado Springs, Colorado, CDOT
IronStride provided ITS stakeholder coordination, as well as ITS and utility design for this diverging diamond interchange reconstruction project in the City of Colorado Springs.
Intersection Conflict Warning Systems & Wrong Way Detection
Silverthorne-Utah Border, CDOT
IronStride provided construction inspection for Intersection Conflict Warning System (ICWS) and Wrong Way Detection (WWD) projects in CDOT Region 3, which added new traffic signage, pavement markings, and radar detection to improve safety on all I-70 ramps from Silverthorne to the Utah border and at three intersections in the region.
I-25 North Express Lanes (Segments 7&8)
Johnstown to Fort Collins, Colorado, CDOT
